February 16, 2022: Benchmark Solutions was proud to have advised Shafer Vineyards (www.shafervineyards.com) on the sale of a majority interest in their historic and iconic winery to Shinsegae Property (KOR).

Shinsegae Property acquired the trailblazing Napa winery for 299.6bn South Korean won ($250m US Dollar)

Benchmark Solutions participated in this transaction, providing International Financial Due Diligence and Valuation Analysis, as a member of the Shafer Vineyards (sales side) Merger and Acquisition Team.

The Shafer Family story is a compelling one, with the family moving from Hinsdale, Illinois to Napa, California in the early 1970’s to start a new life and, in the process, explore the wine business without any prior experience. Fast forward to the present where Shafer Vineyards is internationally recognized as an iconic brand in the industry. This was accomplished through hard work and the relentless pursuit of excellence for which Shafer Vineyard is known.
